Mushroom House Cincinnati Ohio

One of the top attractions in the town of Cincinnati Ohio you don’t want to miss. Actually there is not a lot to do in Cincinnati except eat Skyline Chili, hotdogs at the ball park and drive to Hyde Park to see this unusual structure.  The late Cincinnati architect, Professor Terry Brown, along with the help of his students transformed his one bedroom, one bath bungalow into this fairy tale like house.  Although you won’t be able to go inside (it’s a private residence) we parked along the street viewing it from every angle.  He spent many years adding to the structure and designing it.  He used stained glass windows, twisting staircases, sea shells, and ceramics to create this unique house.  When I took a picture bending down underneath you can see it looks just like a mushroom.  Unfortunately, we went at the wrong time of the day and the lighting was not the best for the pictures.    Here’s the address in case you want to visit:

The Mushroom House

3331 Erie Ave
